A few answers
before you start.

Backup or two-way sync?

One-way backup transfers changes from the source to the destination. Two-way sync checks for changes on both sides. The preview shows the proposed actions before each manual run.

Can I use an external drive?

Yes, for local folders on NTFS and exFAT. Version 0.8.1 was tested on a physical exFAT removable drive. FAT32 and virtual or cloud drives have not yet been validated. UNC network paths are not supported.

Where are my files stored?

In the folders and on the drives you choose. Sync runs locally. Earlier versions are kept in the hidden .foldertwin-history folder, and settings are saved in the app’s local profile.

What if a task is interrupted?

The app records progress and checks the actual files during recovery. A task may be partially complete; it does not automatically undo every change. Physical power loss and drive disconnection have not been tested.
