A few answers
before you start.

Backup or two-way sync?

One-way backup transfers changes from the source to the destination. Two-way sync checks for changes on both sides. The preview shows the proposed actions before each manual run.

Can I use an external drive?

Yes, for local folders on NTFS and exFAT. Version 0.8.1 was tested on a physical exFAT removable drive. FAT32 and virtual or cloud drives have not yet been validated. UNC network paths are not supported.

Where are my files stored?

Your files stay in the folders and on the drives you choose. Sync runs locally. Earlier versions are kept in .foldertwin-history. Optional update checks contact fylentra.com for version information; they do not send your jobs or files.

What if a task is interrupted?

Completed changes may remain after an interruption. Check the job status and Recovery center before continuing. Messages explain what needs attention; technical details are available when needed. Recovery does not automatically undo every change.
